of service centers. Here at Yanmar, we are expanding our global service network, focusing on global shipping
hubs such as Singapore, Shanghai, and more. Performance data and service histories for each individual engine serial number are stored in a central database and shared throughout our network, allowing us to provide optimal
service at your nearest service center. Moreover, we provide additional services to maintain good engine condition and ensure value for our customers, such as maintenance training, ICT-driven failure prevention services,
and part reconditioning.

- Establishing quality from the start of development
Through the work of our Development Division, we incorporate to our products the technology established during fundamental research. We bring our customers on-board during the product planning phase, allowing us to reflect customer requirements in the product design. By conducting preliminary and verification testing in actual vessels from the prototyping phase, we are able to build-in a high degree of quality from the initial stages of development.

Yanmar is one of only a few engine manufacturers to have implemented an integrated production system. At our Amagasaki and Tsukaguchi factories, we carry out each stage of engine production, from machining and assembly, through to outfitting, testing, and shipment. The factories are mechanized to promote automation and labor saving, and we have established an order entry system adapted to our product's characteristics and which allows us to manage the progress and history of each individual engine. With this system, we manufacture products of the highest quality. Furthermore, Amagasaki and Tsukaguchi take delivery of components manufactured at other Yanmar Group factories, such as cylinder blocks, fuel injection systems, gears, and clutches, meaning that our engines are produced almost entirely in-house

Technologies for the future
The development of Yanmar products begins with “fundamental technology research” at our Research and Development Center in Maibara, Japan.
Thinking in the mid- to long-term, we are working on various research topics related to energy and its applications, in order to solve issues faced by our customers and provide value above and beyond expectations.
The fundamental technology developed at our R&D center is handed over to our product development division.
